Not worth reading.

The book is too short and is full of false details. It's also riddled with grammar and punctuation errors. I could have written a better book about Sid & Nancy with more accurate information. Sid did not kill Nancy. The film Who Killed Nancy? has the most accurate information I've ever heard/seen about the death of Nancy.

Should have been much longer...

I only wish this was an actual in depth book,
It would have gladly paid more for an actual account of the days and weeks leading up to Sid and Nancy's star crossed ending.
An actual print version would have been really nice too.
But this all said, it does give the facts (and rumors ) and told me what I wanted to know

Ummm--how did this get published?

I realize that Bengt-Erik Larsson is not a native English speaker. But I would assume that someone who worked on bringing this article from Mr. Larsson 's notebook to my Kindle DOES write English fluently--like, say, the proofreader. And s/he could have paid some attention to the grammar and an editor (or my 7th grader) could have caught the majority of the grammar mistakes, missed words, etc. that make this such a poor read. The story Larsson tells doesn't add much to the story as most of us already know it. And the whole thing is really, really short. I would have been p****d if I had to buy it. (Plug for K Unltd. here. ) Don't waste your time unless you're a die-hard punk (ex-pjnk, post-punk, etc. ). Larsson adds nothing to the story and does it ungrammatically, too. And he does very little to address what happened in room 100 at [sic] Chelsea Hotel. Leave this book on the shelf--it adds nothing to the story.
I gave it 2 stars ONLY because of the supposed subject. I'm a diehard, lived thru it and survived post-punk from a couple of years after but still taken with the mythos of my youthful peers albeit able to leave some of the insanity (& drugs) behind. Too bad so many of us didn't make it, such as Sid and Nancy.

A Masterpiece!!!!

K Montgomery's book is the culmination of many years of working with physicians trying to dissect their way of reaching a complex diagnosis. She has an exceptional hability to put in words what takes 20 years of medical practice. Her concept of medicine not as science but a progressive growth based on experience ( memory of previous encounters with thousands of patients) and...science + new developments is simply revolutionary. Practical reasoning is the essence of how doctors think in the practice of medicine!!!!! This is one of the best books I ever read. I recommend HIGHLY

I was thrilled when I first began reading How Doctors Think, and my feelings did not change when I finally finished the last page of the book. In honest,lyrical prose, Kathryn Montgomery eloquently articulates the complicated tapestry of the clinical decision-making process physicians often encounter in the face of clinical uncertainties and probabilistic medicine. Kudos to a beautifully structured deconstruction of the culture of medicine and medical training! I highly recommend this book to those involved in medical education curricular development. For those who are already medical students, residents, fellows, and attending physicians, I would suggest this as a must-read book on your reading list.
